“I need to call Joe.” This is the phrase I have said to myself dozens of times over the almost thirty years I have known my friend Joe Grana. Joe is a friend, not the kind of friend who is there for you when things are smooth, he is the kind of friend who wants to know how you really are. He is a true friend. For me he is friend, mentor, confidant, and role model. This book honors Dr. Joe Grana for his work in Christian Higher Education as a scholar and teacher of Scripture. And while his work in that arena is stellar, it is his character and life that, to me, are most admirable.
